Dear colleagues,
There is an open call for an international research grant on the theme of "Understanding conflict, identity, and memory: past and present", whose aim is to promote collaboration between EU states, associated states and Russia. The program is called ERA Net Rus Plus. The eligible countries are: Austria, France, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey and Switzerland. Essentially, we need to form a consortium of research institutions from at least three countries (at least one of them needs to be Russia) and to develop a research project centered on Russia's relations with other European states, on issues of conflict, identity, memory. The team from each country will apply in its own country with its own project that needs to be placed under the umbrella of a common project. For Poland, please see page 50. http://uefiscdi.gov.ro/userfiles/file/cooperare%20internationala/eranet/2014-06-24_ToR_JC_ST_ERA_Net_RUS_PLUS_v20.pdf We are thinking to a project about one of the folowing : - controversial memories: remembering territorial changes at the western border of the USSR in a transnational perspective;- Controversial memories between neighbors: remembering WWII at the Western border of the USSR in a transnational perspective; - Historiographical 20th century controversies: Russia and Europe- Russia and Europe: controversial memories. - ...............
People from Helsinki might take the leadership of the project. Would you be interested to take part in such a project? For that you would need to form a team in Poland and to apply for a grant in Poland. We will do the same in Romania, Finland, Moldova, Russia etc. If you are not interested, could you please send us to other people from Poland that might be interested? Thank you very much!
